While St. Sava Day officially takes place on January 27 each year, the children of St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church in Merrillville, Indiana will celebrate with a special luncheon and program taking place immediately following the Divine Liturgy Sunday, January 30, 2022. All are invited to the luncheon to celebrate this special day.
Saint Sava is the protector of the Serb people: he is venerated as a protector of churches, families, schools and artisans. His feast day is also venerated by Greeks, Bulgarians, Romanians and Russians.
